FAQs

What is so different about your service from other sites?

We are a community based social enterprise, providing a service – 'marriage'. The service has been running over 15 years, with over 50,000 people from all over world, who have used it and over 5,000 marriages. It is NOT run by "Aunties and Uncles", however sincere they may be but we are "2nd generation married brother and sisters", who take it seriously and professionally. You can meet us in our office, meet us at our events and we manage the online website database. This is where we are unique, where you can meet profiles online, offline with some degree of verifying their authenticity through us.

So its run by REAL people, who understand the reality of today's society when looking for a partner, and the importance of Trust, Privacy, Confidentiality in the whole process based on Principles and Ethics of Islam.

Is there a cost and how much? Different packages
Registration to the database is FREE. You will be able to search for members and send them predefined template messages. Access to the full service with the ability to respond with your own messages and to upload pictures is through a paid-for upgrade. There are 4 membership upgrades for 1, 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions. Please visit the "Pricing" page for details.

Currently, attendance of our events is chargeable. This is to ensure participants take the service seriously and we can run it in a professional manner. Please note, "Islamic Circles" is a Not-For-Profit Association, and neither staff or organisation benefit from the service financially, however there are there administrative overheads that need to be covered and any profits are re-invested back into the service, thus in this way, it ensures the sustainability of the service.

For a full breakdown of the costs and packages of the database, please visit the "Pricing" tab at the top of the website.

We hate spam and would never wish that on you.

About my profile

What do I write?
  • State facts clearly in bullet form, include an honest recent photo, give info about immediate family but not distant relatives, mention country or region of origin if relevant.
  • Start with an introductory paragraph where you lay out your cards clearly and attempt to generate some genuine interest. But strike balance between clarity and bluntness, being positive versus boasting, expecting a lot but offering little. Avoid controversial issues.
  • Use plain succinct language, appropriate adjectives, be realistic. Should not be overwhelming – include main goals but cut out emotional rhetoric and "dreamy" aspirations. Choose what information to share carefully; if in doubt, leave it out.
Common Problems with Profiles
  • Difficult to read - poorly written with spelling mistakes and grammar
  • Lack vital information that is requested
  • Contain irrelevant information and waffle
  • Make you appear arrogant or boastful of achievements
  • Contain big claims and bold promises
  • Too much "Islamic" jargon
  • Childish or flippant remarks – not the same as humour
  • Rhetorical statements or appearing to play 'hard to get'
General Advice on Writing Profiles

  • Use simple sentences and correct grammar – get in checked
  • Avoid fancy words in the wrong context or you will look silly
